“Clothes are but a symbol of something hid deep beneath”Virginia Woolf

Which author will you choose? Pick from seven sustainably made, organic cotton t-shirts branded with the names of celebrated female authors who have changed the world.

Virginia Woolf is considered one of the most important modernist 20th-century authors and a pioneer in the use of stream of consciousness as a narrative device. Her best-known works include the novels Mrs Dalloway, To the Lighthouse, and Orlando, which is heralded as a masterpiece of modernist queer fiction. Her essays explored artistic theory, literary history, women’s writing, and the politics of power – in A Room of One's Own she wrote the much-quoted dictum: "A woman must have money and a room of her own if she is to write fiction." Her writing has influenced contemporary authors and been adapted across many forms, including ballet, opera, drag, and theatre.

  • Black text on a white t-shirt made from 100% organic cotton.
